Lori Crever was suggested for our Women’s Professional Network Health & Wellness Series as she is both a corporate person and an improvisor who routinely performs live theater in the Twin Cities.  The topic we wanted covered was “The Importance of Laughter in the Workplace”.  With some starter ideas from our team, Lori tore off and found a wealth of good material related to health and laughter, and how this can be cultivated in the workplace.  We enjoyed planning this event with Lori. Her enthusiasm helped to carry the day.  We also appreciated Lori’s consistent themes of how “fun” relates back to our company’s stated vision & values.  For our audience, this provided a foundation that we were on the right track covering this topic.  Lori also encouraged us to incorporate existing examples of how staff members have used humor in the workplace, which was very effective.  She helped bridge and strengthen our committee’s efforts as a partnership rather than coming at the subject as a “lecture” style presentation.  It was an engaging and “building on existing strengths” experience -- just what the doctor ordered!
